Student Assistance Program Training - Pottsville - Sept. 28, 29 & 30, 2010

8:00 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.

This three-day certification training prepares school and agency staff to serve on student assistance teams. The training emphasizes team techniques and helps participants to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to work effectively on a SAP team. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of parent/caregiver involvement in the entire SAP process.

The workshop is based on the newly revised Standards and Competencies re-issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Education in 2004. Completion of the competency-based activities, including a post-training assignment, results in SAP certification, and receipt of 30 Act 48 hours.
